About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    ASB and street drinking will be the focus of the next 6 months.

    This priority has been agreed for 6 months from 01st February 2026:

    The following has been completed so far within 2025;
    - regular high visibility patrols
    - arrests where criminal offences take place which include - Affray, Indecent exposure and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
    - stop searches where grounds permit.
    - meetings with licensing to stop the sale of single cans of alcohol
    - outreach work by the council

    - CPNWs/CPNS/FPNs issued

  • Priority:

    Policing Priorities for Harpur Ward.

    01st February 2026 to 01st August 2026.

    During the priority setting meeting held on 31st January 2026 your local councillors met with your local policing team where the following priorities have been identified and agreed:

    ASB and drug misuse will be the focus of the next 6 months.
    Particular areas which will be focus on will be Tavistock Street, Queens Street and Cobden Square.

    Drugs - High visibility and plain clothes patrols across the ward to detect and deter street level drug dealing. Working in partnership with internal departments and other partner agencies to identify offenders and bring them to justice.

    ASB – Utilising high visibility patrol across the ward in order to deter ASB which is associated with street drinking and drug misuse. Utilising policing ASB powers, including with partner agencies who have delegated ASB powers.

    Community Priority for Brickhill.

    01st February 2026 to 01st August 2026.

    During the priority setting meeting held on 31st January 2026 your local councillors met with your local policing team where the following priorities have been identified and agreed:

    Nuisance motorcycles/off road bikes within Brickhill Country Park. This will be our focus over the next six months.

    Partnership working with internal departments and other agencies employing targeted operations and specialised tactics to crack down on the antisocial use of nuisance bikes, including off-road motorcycles, electric bikes (e-bikes), and quad bikes. Seizing vehicles, using forensic sprays, and increasing patrols.
