Local policing priorities for Ketley and Oakengates

Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities in this neighbourhood.

Priority

 Reports have been received from the local community that individuals are riding off road bikes and quad bikes through Oakengates Town and Wombridge in a anti social manner causing danger to other road users.

The vehicles are seen to race through the town with no consideration for other road users.

Action taken

 11/09/2017- SNT have conducted patrols in the area and local residents have reported issues so police can build up a picture of times and days when it is at its peak.

29/03/2018 - SNT have continued to provide patrols in the area and no further issues have arisen. Patrols will continue at Wombridge Primary School to provide Safer Outside Schools.

Priority

 Reports have been received that individuals and groups are gathering in park/woodland area of Millennium Village causing Anti Social Behaviour mainly setting fires.

Action taken

 09/09/17 - Local officers attended the area to search for individuals causing ASB.

29/03/2018 - Joint working between Local police and Sanctuary Housing have been conducted and no further issues have been reported. Reassurance has also been provided to local residents advising them to report and further issues.

Priority

 Reports have been raised regarding issues with individuals coming into town and parking inappropriately causing obstruction to other road users and pedestrians.

06/09/17 - SNT have been conducting patrols in the area dealing with any complaints.

29/03/2018 - SNT have been conducting patrols in the town educating and advising any persons parking in a unacceptable manner.
