I am PC 2465 Rob Hughes. I initially joined West Midlands police as a Special Constable working in Wolverhampton, from there I joined West Mercia Police as a community Support officer working at the Princess Royal Hospital before transferring to local policing in Hadley and Leegomery. I enjoyed my time as a CSO getting involved in local issues and finding new ways to deal with the problems that the community find important. I set up a mini moto track and a motorcycle safety scheme to prevent ASB which I was nominated for CSO of the year.
I believed I could do more to help the People of Hadley and Leegomery so I became a Police Officer, initially attached to a shift I applied for the role of Safer Neighbourhood Officer and was lucky enough to become the Safer Neighbourhood Officer for Hadley and Leegomery.
I enjoyed my time in Hadley and Leegomery and would now like to use the skill I have gained to help the people of Donnington. Trench and Wrockwardine wood.
I am very much aware of what the people of my area want and I am always open to the views on what is needed. I have taken part in many raids on those who sell drugs and actively target those who cause ASB to the residents and visitors to Donnington, Wrockwardine Wood and Trench.
