Local policing priorities for Droitwich Town West and Rural West

Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities in this neighbourhood.


The Rural villages within the Droitwich Policing area has seen issues with Burglary Dwellings and theft of vehicles from these locations as well as Outbuilding and shed breaks reported which as resulted in thefts of Quad Bikes, Trailers and various machinery and equipment.

Action taken

Friday 5th October 2018 - Daytime patrols by PCSO'S at Rural Churches which have been previous locations of ASB an theft. Foot Patrols also completed in the areas of Martin Hussingtree/Hindlip.

Friday 5th October 2018 - Patrols between 1800hrs and midnight. A449, Cutnall Green, Pershore Lane/Hindlip/Inkberrow/Astwood Bank/Crowle/Tibberton. Specifically targeting areas that have been victim to out building and shed breaks. A number of vehicles stopped but were in order.

Monday 8th October 2018 - patrols in the areas of Hanbury & Pershore Lane (Foot & Mobile Patrols) following reports of a theft of vehicle & trailer from the Broughton Green Area. Local Farmers spoken to in addition to the victim.

Tuesday 9th October 2018 - High Visibility Patrols along the A449 Corridor between Claines and Hartlebury, Doverdale Lane, Ombersley, Pershore Lane and Hindlip/Martin Hussingtree. Nothing suspicious noted.

Wednesday 10th October 2018 - High Visibility Patrols along the A449 Corridor, looking at Fly tipping on Crown Lane and Doverdale Lane. Patrols in the Elmley Lovett, Pershore Lane/Smite Hill area and also in the areas of Fernhill Heath/Porters Mill/Ladywood.

Saturday 13th October 2018 - High Visibility Patrols completed throughout the hours of Darkness within the Droitwich West Rural area. Nothing suspicious noted.

Monday 15th October 2018 - Visits made to a few victims of outbuilding/shed breaks in the Hadley and Ombersley areas. Crime reduction advice given and referrals made to Wychavon's Neighbourhood Warden for follow up visits. Location of flytipping visited (Elmley Lovett) , evidence gained from the tipped waste which will be handed to Wychavon to progress.
