Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities in this neighbourhood.

Priority

Drug Dealing and Use

Detecting and reducing drug dealing and use is a policing priority within the local neighbourhood policing area. 

Police are working with partner agencies to locate offenders within the local community, as well as signposting persons known to use banned substances to local rehabilitation, housing, and support services.

The team is also working with the relevant in house departments to target suspected offenders, gathering intelligence and performing searches and arrests when proportionate and necessary.

Officers perform regular patrols as part of ongoing taskings and operations in local areas where it is known drug use and dealing may take place to reduce the serious harm caused.

Street Drinking

Street drinking is a policing priority within the local neighbourhood policing area. 

Police are working with partner agencies to signpost street drinkers to local rehabilitation, housing, and support services.

The team is working with the Devon and Cornwall Police Licensing Team to reduce the locations where alcohol can be purchased and to also endeavour for a reduction in the sale of high strength alcohol.

Officers perform regular patrols as part of ongoing taskings and operations to reduce the number of street drinkers in the area.
