Staying safe online and cold callers

Your local policing team are making staying Safe on line as a priority for the foreseeable future. The potential risk of being a vicitm of internet fraudsters is significant especially amongst our vulnerable communities.

We also realise the harm that can be done via the internet and social media around bullying and sexual explotation. We would encourage anyone who has concerns or indeed is seeking advice to contact your local policing teams for support and guidance.

We are also seeing an escalation of door to door criminals exploiting vulnerable people out of £10000 and more! We strongly advise not to enter into any sort of financial arrangement with a door to door seller for general work or goods.

UPDATE JULY 2018 This continues to be an issue and we are sending out information through twitter, facebook and Neighbourhood Alert System.
