Anti-Social Driving

Police have received numerous complaints of anti-social/dangerous driving in and around Redruth.

If you have any information which you believe may help us to identify these offenders please contact us as soon as possible.

We have received complaints regarding issues in the Pool area.

Police are working closely with local businesses to tackle the issue.

Driver education

We are liasing with Parish and Town Councillors to set up Community Speed Watch groups in various locations to proactively educate drivers across the area

Update: 01 November 2018 - Community speedwatch patrols

Many community speedwatch patrols have taken place at the following places;

Pendarves Street

College Street

Weeth Road

 

Results are being collated and patrols will be continuing.

 

Update: 20 May 2018 - Continued Priority

We have conducted numerous patrols in the area regarding anti social driving and "boy racers", words of advice have been passed to all and in some cases "Section 59" warnings have been issued

Priority

Illegal use of Motor Cycles

We have recieved numerous reports that motorcycles have been used in various locations in and around Camborne that are being ridden on Bridleways, footpaths and on places other than the highway. We are conducting regular patrols of areas such as Tuckingmill Valley Park, North Roskear Road, Reskadinnick and Condurrow. If you witness any anti social behaviour by motor cycles please utilise 101/999

Update: 20 May 2018 - Patrols for bikes

Whilst out on patrol bikes on weekends the NPT have seen motor bikes and scooters and the riders have been given words of advice regarding their riding, they were not seen to be riding illegally at the time of patrol

Regular patrols are taking place and any drivers are being spoken to.

A proactive operation is being planned for the forthcoming weeks.

We have conducted numerous patrols in "hot spot areas" after calls from the public, we have spoken to bikers, details have been taken and words of advice have been passed to them regarding regarding where is appropriate to ride off road

Update: 20 May 2018 - Patrol

Patrols were conducted on 30/04/2017 on the footpaths/ bridleways on the routes between Menderva and Godrevy, and also Coombe to Menderva, no motorcycles were seen on these routes at the time of patrol, the Camborne Neighbourhood Team will continue to patrol these areas, The team will continue to patrol the problem areas

Commercial Square

We have been made aware that individuals in Commercial Square are having a detrimental effect on the atmosphere in the town by street drinking, swearing littering and general antisocial behaviour. As a neighbourhood team we are taking a proactive approach to this behaviour and are regularly patrolling the sqaure and addressing the anti social behaviour

This will be a continued priority over the summer, Numerous patrols have been taking place in the town centre on foot and also in marked patrol vehicles. For those persons involved in Anti Social Behaviour have been issued with Anti Social Behaviour warnings.

We will continue to patrol and please let us know of any further issues.

Over the last few weeks we have been made aware that this has become more of an issue and we are working with local businesses, Cornwall Council ASB team, and encourage members of the public to contact 101/999 if persons are causing issues in the area
